Situation

The client, a world leader in the food service industry, requested our support to reformulate its Greater China HR procedures for a 5-month duration.

Solution

X-PM provided an experienced HR specialist. The client appreciated the value added by our manager and the mission was extended to 19.5 months as the manager was then named interim CIO to organize a new reporting system as well as introducing new computer tools.

Results

All procedures were restructured and the manager was finally hired by the client to continue working with them as both parties recognized the value of working together.

Transportation Services

Situation

The client, a world leader in transportation services, was facing poor profitability of its Chinese Joint Venture (JV) because of the low level of orders and the difficult relations with its JV partner and the JV was at risk of being liquidated. The client analysed the situation and came to the conclusion that improving the supply chain would resolve part of the conflictual situation.

Solution

X-PM provided an experienced interim-manager, originally for 5 months. The mission was subsequently extended to 7 months and the manager was named GM after 3 months, as a consequence of the new organization that he proposed.

Results

The JV was finally not liquidated as expected and the client offered a one-year permanent position to X-PM manager to continue to support the company, still in operation.
